CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 2

Dear parents/carers

As a school, we are following Public Health England’s advice regarding the Coronavirus. The current advice is still that we will not be closed but this is something that could change in the future. We are currently formulating a plan to ensure we can give children work to complete at home if we have a forced closure.

Currently we are (new measures in bold)

  • Encouraging children to wash their hands for 20 seconds regularly.
  • Sending children home if they develop a persistent cough or present with a fever.
  • Cleaning hard surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes regularly.
  • Cancelling any non-essential visitors to school. (This includes parent events for the foreseeable future)

Please could you

  • Also encourage hand washing (antibacterial washing up liquid works well if you can’t get anything else)
  • Make us aware if you are self-isolating due to showing symptoms or pregnancy. Current advice is WHOLE HOUSEHOLD isolation for 14 days. Symptoms to self-isolate for are a persistent new cough or a high temperature.
  • Try to reduce face to face contact with staff, please communicate by email/dojo/telephone if possible.
