🌈🎉 We are SO excited for our Colour Dash this week as we end the half term with joy, colour and community spirit! 💙 

On 📅 Friday 22nd May 2026, our school will join 225+ schools and over 60,000 children across the East Midlands taking part in the Annual LCH Colour Dash in support of the amazing children’s charity, Lifting Children’s Hopes (LCH). ✨ Through our partnership with LCH, children and families within our own school community directly benefit from the incredible support they provide — from help with school trips and warm coats to mental health support, family experiences and opportunities for children to access hobbies and sports. Every donation made through the Colour Dash helps bring comfort, care and hope to children when they need it most. 💛

⏰ Event Times:

🌼 EYFS & KS1 – 1:15pm

🐿️ LKS2 – 1:45pm

🦉 UKS2 – 2:15pm

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and carers are warmly invited to watch from the spectator zone, and children may go home afterwards with their parent/carer.

Dear Parents and Carers,

A huge thank you for your incredibly generous donations to support our gardening and allotment projects in school. We are so grateful for your continued support. You may have noticed that we are once again making great use of the school gardens, and some children are now attending weekly ‘Allotment Education’ sessions in our newly named ‘Allotment' area.

Thanks to your lovely donations, we have already planted potatoes in the containers along the wall. We are now hoping to continue developing the polytunnel area and wondered if anyone might have any large pots or buckets they no longer need. Even an old leaky bucket would be perfect, as long as it has drainage holes. Ideally, we are looking for 4–5 large containers for planting cucumbers in the polytunnel.

We would also like to make a small “welly” request for Years 5 and 6. We are finding that we are currently short of larger sizes for the older children. We are well stocked for smaller sizes, but any spare larger wellies would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you again for all your support — it really does make a difference to the children’s learning experiences.

For our Year 5 Science projects we need lots of glass jars! Over the next few days, please can you save as many clean, empty jars with lids as you can for us and bring them to school with you when you come to your parent's evening appointment. We will have a collection point on both days. Please do not send them with children. If you are unable to make parent's evening, please drop them in the office next Tuesday and Wednesday. Remember - the booking system for parent's evening closes tomorrow at 2.00pm. Dear All,

We are delighted to let you know that our school will be taking part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 2nd October 2025, 8.30am - 10am.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, enjoy a cuppa, and raise money for a very important cause. Macmillan supports almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, and every penny we raise will help them continue their vital work.

To make the morning extra special, we would be very grateful for any donations of shop-bought nut-free cakes and biscuits (NOT home baked please).  Please can you drop these off before Thursday. 

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our Coffee Morning, sharing a slice (or two!) and raising funds for this incredible charity.

Lost Property
Our lost property cupboard has become very full, and we know it can be frustrating when things go missing. A big reason it fills up so quickly is that sometimes clothing comes in with names from past pupils or children don’t always recognise their own belongings, so even named items can end up stored away.

We’re very lucky that a kind volunteer has offered to help us sort everything on Monday. From home time on Monday, all the items will be laid out on a table outside. Please take a moment to check through and reclaim anything that belongs to your child.

Thank you for your support in helping us return as much as possible to the right homes.
