Chair of Governors Welcome
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Chair of Governors at Woodland View Primary and Nursery School. It is a privilege to take on this role within such a vibrant, caring, and ambitious school community, and I look forward to supporting the school as it continues to thrive.
I bring extensive leadership experience from both the charity and professional sectors. My previous roles include serving as Chair of my professional association, where I led national initiatives, supported strategic development, and worked closely with key stakeholders to strengthen the profession. I also serve as Chair and CEO of a charity, overseeing organisational growth, ensuring strong governance, and championing work that makes a positive difference in people’s lives.
Throughout my career, I have held a variety of leadership positions that have reinforced my commitment to collaboration, integrity, and high standards. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of strategic oversight, safeguarding, accountability, and the importance of creating environments where staff, children, and families feel valued and able to flourish.
As Chair of Governors, my priority is to work in partnership with our dedicated staff team, fellow governors, parents, carers—and most importantly, our children. Together, we will ensure that Woodland View continues to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and high‑quality education that enables every child to reach their full potential.
Outside of work I enjoy adventure sports, participating in various fitness events and generally enjoying being outdoors, especially with my dogs.
