Dear parents and carers,

Our Y6 children are now very excited about our forthcoming residential. Here are a few reminders before the day of departure:

1. Each child needs to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. Please make sure they are named.

2. Please send your child with a packed lunch.

3. All bags may be left in the hall on Wednesday morning.

4. Please give all medication (plus details for use) to Mrs Fiddimore on Wednesday morning (I will be in the hall from 8.35 to 9am).

5. We understand from FaceBook that some people are planning on hiding sweets from us. Please don’t do this. We will take all sweets and snacks from the children on arrival at Caythorpe and return them on departure from Caythorpe. There is plenty of food at Caythorpe so they will not go hungry! We are not saying this to be mean or kill-joys but to avoid a potential issue with choking when unsupervised in their bedrooms at night. This is part of our risk assessment.  If you wish for them to have sweets for the journey, please provide your children with just a small amount.

6. Please do not allow your child to bring their mobile phone or tablet. We will remove any phones found and return them on return to school. School will let you know when we have arrived, will send daily updates and also advise you of our expected arrival time on Friday.

7. We will depart from Back Lane at approximately 10.30 on Wednesday and aim to be back at school before 3pm on Friday, traffic permitting.

8. Children do not need to wear school uniform on Wednesday.
