Dear Parent/Carer
Just a quick update about the roadworks on Barker Street commencing on Thursday, 3rd October 2019 from approximately 11.00am – 3.00pm.
I have now discussed with the operating company all the safeguarding queries that we had about access to the school site while the road is resurfaced in Barker Street and am satisfied that the children will be safe to attend school.
- Work will not begin until after the children are in school on Thursday morning and so drop off will not be affected. Please bring your child to school as normal.
- There will be no access to school during the school day for vehicles except for emergency services. Pedestrian access will be available.
- All lorries are hoped to be moved by pick up time, however this cannot be guaranteed so please make arrangements to pick up your children on foot and park away from school if you need to drive.
Thank you for your patience while we contacted the people who could give us the health and safety information needed to ensure all our children were safe.
