Swimming Sessions - Dragonflies, Woodpeckers, Kingfishers

13 September 2019 (by Jodie Binch (Jbinch))

Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 4 classes, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers and Dragonflies will begin their swimming lessons on 19th September 2019. Half of the children will swim from now until February half term; the remaining children will swim from February half term until July. These lessons will be every Thursday through until July 2020 from 2.00pm – 3.15pm, your child will not be back at school until 3.40pm. Children will need to be collected from the bus on Back Lane, if children are in clubs or after care we will deliver them.

We apologise for the late finish but this is the slot we have been allocated by Nottinghamshire County Council and we accepted as we recognise the importance of your child having swimming lessons.

Please ensure that your child has their swimwear, a towel and a hair brush if necessary. If your child wears stud earrings, please ensure they are removed before school on Thursday mornings or your child will not be allowed to swim.

If your child does need to wear goggles please fill in and return the attached form. Goggles are not provided for safety reasons. Armbands are available at the baths for those children who need them.

Please read carefully the previously information sent out regarding appropriate swimwear and goggles. This information is county policy regarding the appropriate swimwear.

Children who are not attending will remain in school and take part in PE instead.

If you have any queries please contact either.
