Year 6 Legacy Project

22 March 2019 (by Jodie Binch (Jbinch))

The Year 6 children and staff are launching the ‘Year 6 Legacy Project’.

The aim is to run this each year in Year 6 whereby Y6 children work on a project that helps develop the school in some way. This year (the first year of the project), Y6 are hoping to develop more imaginative play opportunities in the playground. They are hoping to raise money in various ways to fund part of this. Suggestions from the children have included a bake sale, a sponsored walk or read and a non-uniform day, amongst others.

Their first fund raiser is on Thursday April 4th: it is a non-uniform day and they ask that all children who wear non-uniform that day make a donation of a pound. All money raised will be spent on resources for the playground for all children in the school. The theme of the non-uniform day is “Dress as crazily as you like!”

We are proud of our Year 6 children for so readily taking on this project; they will be making a difference at Woodland View for years to come.

Thank you for your support in this,

Year 6 children and staff.
