Year 3 - Egyptian Day

11 January 2019 (by Jodie Binch (Jbinch))

Year 3 Ancient Egyptian Day- Monday 11th February 2019

We are excited to announce we will be joined by Mr Egypt, a real Egyptologist with 40 years’ experience. He brings the museum experience to us, including real life artefacts, over 5,000 years old.

Children will experience a day of fun, learning and understanding what life was like in the ancient world. We will encounter life as an Egyptian through a variety of subjects, including Maths and problem solving, to writing hieroglyphics, alongside History, Art and Geography. Children will join in a range of games and music, as well as tasting Egyptian food.

The cost of the visit will be shared between the three classes and we are asking for £6 per child to cover the cost of Mr Egypt, for the whole day, please pay online. There will be activities for us to join in together as a year group, as well time with Mr Egypt as individual classes.

We know this is an invaluable occasion for our children to take part in and this will be the penultimate event before inviting yourselves in to share our learning on Tuesday 12th February at 2:30pm.

Kind regards,

Mrs H Fitzpatrick/ Miss Allsop/ Mr Holmes
