 Return to School                          

 Dear parents, carers and grandparents,

 We are looking forward to the children’s return on Wednesday 1^st September.

 Sorry that this letter is coming to you so late in the holidays but we wanted to wait to see if any further government advice was released before we communicated with you about return to school.

 We would like to advise that school timings will be back to normal from Wednesday 1^st September.

• The school day starts at 8.50am every day for all children (except for morning Nursery children who start at 8.30). Reception children have a staggered start- please see your individual letters.
• School finishes at 3pm every day for all children (except for afternoon Nursery children who finish at 3.15).
• As previously, children are allowed to go to their classroom from 8.35am every day.
• If your child arrives after 9am, your child will receive a late mark in the register.
• As usual, if your child is old enough to walk home without an adult, please let the office staff know- thank you
• After school, staff will take children to the playground to be collected. Some people will continue to wear face masks; we ask that you continue to respect this and continue to maintain a social distance. Please continue to follow the one-way system around school as best you can so that we can ensure children and adults are able to enter and exit school as safely as possible.
• Dinners can be paid for in the same way as they were through School Money. In school, we will be trialling a new staggered lunch time. Your child may come home and tell you about it.
• Breakfast Club will start at 8am every day from Thursday 2^nd Please note the new cost of £2 a day per child. The children will be able to eat breakfast together in the hall. Places at Breakfast Club can be booked via School Money.
• After School Clubs will start from Monday 13^th September. These are free of charge. A letter will come out about these.
• If you wish to use Vicky’s Child Care Service after school, please contact Vicky on 07540073508
• Children can now bring bags to school. Children who walk home without adults may bring a named phone to school. This must be taken to the office at the start of the day and collected at the end of the day as phones are not allowed in classrooms. If your child brings expensive items, personal items or their mobile phone to school we cannot guarantee they won’t get lost; therefore, we recommend they do not bring them unless it is essential.
• Children should wear Woodland View Primary School uniform every day- please note that purple jumpers or cardigans must be worn, shoes should be black and trousers/skirts/pinafores should be grey or black. Tights should be purple, white or black. Thank you.
• Please note that our attendance policy comes back into full force from September 1^st Please ensure your child comes to school every day. If your child is unwell, please let the office know.
• Please also note that we will send out information about isolation rules next week once they have been confirmed to us.

We are hoping that this year will be a return to normality- fingers crossed! We are very excited about the year ahead with the children and families of Woodland View.
