Year 6 End Of Term

Year 6 end of term celebrations

Dear parents and carers,

We are aiming to help our Year 6 children finish the year in style!

Graduation Assembly

This will be recorded this year and made available privately on You Tube- we will send you the link once we have recorded and edited the video.

Shirt Signing

Year 6 children will be able to wear their school shirts for signing on the last day of school (23rd July). While they will not be able to go from class to class, they will be able to collect signatures from each other, from other children and from members of staff during our last day fun day which is outside.

Year 6 Fun Day

We would argue that every day in Year 6 is a fun day (!!), but Thursday July 22nd is Year 6’s special day.

In the morning, we have:

  • Our annual water fight and water slide. Children are able to bring their own water pistols to school if they wish and should come in clothes they don’t mind getting wet, a towel and dry clothes to put on after the water fight.

  • A chippy lunch- this has already been chosen by the children and ordered. The school pays for the lunch.

  • An outdoor disco in the afternoon. Children may bring their “glad rags” to wear for this occasion!

Leavers’ Hoodies

These have now been ordered for the children. School pays for these also and will hand them out to the children in the last week of school.

Autograph Books

These have also been arranged by school, as many of you know, and will be handed out in the last week so that children can ask friends and staff to sign them.

Many thanks to Alec Malbon and Star Vision photography for providing the autograph books to us free of charge.

It’s been a challenging year for all and we are really proud of our Year 6s and their maturity in handling this. They have worked hard and deserve a good send off!

Best wishes,

The Year 6 Team
