School Reopening March 2021

5 March 2021 (by Jodie Binch (Jbinch))

Dear all

We look forward to welcoming back all children from Monday 8th March. Below are the timings of the school day etc. We will be looking to start breakfast club and some after school clubs after the Easter break. Year groups may now mix as one bubble, at times, outside or in intervention groups.

Timings of day
The timings for each year group are detailed below. Please stick to the times below - you will not be allowed access to school site before your child’s allocated time to reduce the
number of people on site at any one time. If you have siblings with different start and finish times, please come at the earlier time in the morning and later time in the afternoon. The other sibling will be able to wait in the hall.

Arrival and Pick Up
We will have a one-way system in use for dropping children off in the morning and for collecting children at the end of the school day. We are asking that only one adult brings a child.

Please enter school through the main entrance gate. DO NOT ENTER THROUGH THE SIDE ENTRANCE.

Please wait with your child at the next available cone. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD RUN AROUND.

Cones start in front of the gate used to access the school field. There will be members of staff out there to direct you.

Please exit school past the science garden and through the school grounds to the side exit.

Please follow the same procedures for pick up. Your child will be sent to you when you get to the front cone. Please exit immediately past the science garden and through the school grounds to the side exit.

Soap and sanitiser.

Children cannot bring in their own soap or hand sanitiser in case another child has an allergy to it. There is plenty in school, and we have changed the soap we offer for the majority of handwashing - it is now buttermilk-based and non-allergenic. We have baby lotion within school which your child is welcome to use after washing.

Water and lunch.

Please send children in with a named water bottle - a clean one every day if possible. Lunch should be in a disposable bag; paper bags would be best as they are biodegradable. Please consider school meals as an easier option.

Masks.

This is entirely your choice; children can wear masks if they wish to but will be responsible for keeping it safe. Staff will be wearing masks in communal areas and sometimes in the classroom.

PE Kit.

As we have no indoor space for PE, this will only be done outside and is therefore weather dependent. Please send your child’s kit in on a Monday and leave it here all week as we cannot give a set day for PE.

Breakfast and After School Club.

We will be looking to restart this provision after the Easter break.

We are confident that we are doing all we can to keep your children safe but please be aware that all these measures are from Government guidance and are not procedures that school has chosen themselves. We really want to work together to ensure our children get back to their                   education and so ask that you adhere to the guidelines above.                                                          Thank you for your support throughout this pandemic and all your hard work with home                   schooling.

See you on Monday

Mrs Grey and your Woodland View family
