We are so excited you are coming back to school. It looks a little bit different though so we thought you might like to see.

You wait on cones to come into the building. Most children will come through the side gate to go round the back of the school.

You have your own desk and you must not go into the teacher’s space, shown by the pink tape on the floor. Your teacher will come out to you at your desk. They will still show you lots of care and attention. You may not be with your normal teachers but you will know them from school. They have missed you very much.

All the things you will need will be in your own tray on your desk. You will be with a small group of children from your class. You will eat your dinner with your group in the classroom and play and learn outside with them too.

You will have your temperature taken every morning. We want you to feel happy and well in school. All the teachers have to have theirs taken too.

You will have your own little soap to wash your hands. Sometimes adults might wear an apron and gloves to help you if you hurt yourself. This is to keep you safe and it isn’t scary.

There are arrows in the corridors so you know which side to walk. We all want to try to keep two metres away from each other. When you are playing outside, it is very hard to keep away from your friends so don’t worry too much, teachers will speak to you about it.
We look forward to seeing you in school, we will greet you with huge smiles! We want to hear all about what you have been doing.

See you soon! Love Mrs Grey and all your teachers
