As part of our next topic, ‘What did the ancients do for us?’ we have organised for a historical theatre group to visit school from Partake

 They will be working with the children all day to deliver a variety of different workshops relating to life in Roman Britain. The sessions include Roman shield practice-marching in formation whilst being bombarded with 'rocks', dressing up as Romans, artefacts investigation, food tasting and a session in which they all do some mosaic making, arch building, writing in wax tablets and board game playing. Action packed!

 

Due to the food tasting session, please could you let us know of any allergies your child may have so we can pass on this information to Partake, who will be providing the workshop.

 

The cost of the workshop is being subsidised by school and £5.50 per pupil is required to ensure that the workshop can go ahead. This should be paid by Friday 25th January 2019 to ensure the workshop is confirmed and paid for prior to the day. Break time and lunch time will run as normal as we will be staying within the school grounds.
