For Attention of Year 6 Parents

23 June 2021 (by Jodie Binch (Jbinch))

23rd June 2021

Dear parents, carers and grandparents,

Some of you may be aware of an incident after school last night involving some Year 6 children. We were very disappointed in the behaviour of some of our children and are dealing with the incident. We would like to thank all of the Year 6 children who walk home quietly and sensibly each night- they are a credit to the school.

From now on, staff will be appearing at random times on Barker Street to check that all Year 6 children are walking home sensibly. We expect them to walk quietly, without shouting or chanting, respecting others in the community. If we find that there are children who repeatedly behave unacceptably on their journey home, we will ask that they are collected by parents from school instead. Please talk to your children about this- thank you for your support.

We have also reminded the children that phones are not allowed in school during the pandemic. We have nowhere to store them and the phones are not insured, should they be lost and stolen. Please remind your child that they should not bring their phones to school. We will confiscate phones brought to school and will ask you to come to collect them. Again, thank you for your support with this.

Best wishes,

Mrs Ruby Grey
