We believe that the advantages of school uniform far outweigh the disadvantages:
Less competitive clothing and upset over who has the best/brightest/newest/most expensive - it creates an equality and lessens distractions. This can also avoid cases of taunting about clothing.
It creates a sense of belonging and pride about a school and in our case we are very proud of Woodland View Primary School, all that we stand for and the opportunities provided for children.
School uniform teaches children about dress code, an important life lesson.
The school uniform comprises of a purple sweatshirt and white polo shirt with the school logo, black skirt or trousers and black shoes. Year 6 children should wear a school tie. Uniform can be purchased from school.
A school coat, fleece and cardigans are also available for purchase, but is not a compulsory part of the uniform.
The wearing of jewellery is not allowed on the grounds of safety.
We ask parents to provide plimsolls, shorts and a t-shirt so that children can enjoy maximum use of our excellent facilities for physical education. We also ask parents to put their child's name in all their clothing.
